Greetings! My name is Alex Ayala and I am the, meadmaker (mazer), and founder/owner for Mythical Buzz. I’ve always had a fascination of discovering flavors for the many varietals of mead and wine while visiting many of the great meaderies and wineries in Texas. Making mead is an art,  one that gives me a blank palette to create a spectrum of beautiful flavors.

Fast forward a few years and dozens of batches later, I now have some winner recipes that I can be happy to serve. Mythical Buzz is more than just mead, its delivering something unique that comes from the idea of using all-natural ingredients without any fake flavors that come from syrups or tablets, and staying away from chemicals that most winemakers use (one of them which is sulfites).  The idea is more that just making mead, but in making mead worthy enough to be considered craft —something that we could be proud to put my name behind it. We strive to meet and exceed our own expectations and we hope you are able to enjoy the fruits of our labor and passion.
